If you’re into new beauty launches like I am, you have probably heard about Lash Paradise from L’Oreal. I’m always a sucker for the new beauty season and even more so when they come from the drugstore. When I was watching one of my favorite YouTube ~beauty gurus~ I came across a video review of a new Lash Paradise mascara from L’Oreal. Now, if you’ve read my last post about mascaras, you might know that mascaras are kind of my jam. By that, I mean that mascaras are one of my favorite beauty products ever. When I heard about this new product from L’Oreal, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The pretty pink packaging was enough to make me want it but the claims that it was a dupe for Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara made me need it.
I don’t know how readily available this is as of right now but I know that it is available for purchase on Ulta’s website. However, I managed to snag mine in store at Target.. My recommendation is to use Target’s store locator to find the product – while not always accurate, it’s pretty helpful.
Having merely ‘okay’ luck with L’Oreal mascaras in the past, I find them to be too wet. Wet mascaras for me often lead to clumpy lashes that I’m not a fan of. With Lash Paradise, I really didn’t think the formula was very wet but it also wasn’t super dry. Personally, this formulation is the perfect in-between that I like. The last photo shows my bare lashes compared to two coats of Lash Paradise. The result? Dark and voluminous lashes that give a bit of length too.
Okay, but is it a dupe for Too Faced Better Than Sex?
Aside from the obvious – the pink packaging – do I think that Lash Paradise is a drugstore dupe for a high end mascara? Yes. Better Than Sex is a mascara I really enjoy and regularly have on hand. On the first day of trying Lash Paradise, I used that mascara on one eye and Better Than Sex on the other eye. The result? Very dark lashes with tons of volume from both products. Totally similar, though Lash Paradise clings onto the very tips of my lashes for a hair more length. Overall, I actually preferred the result I got from Lash Paradise over Better Than Sex. The price tag is definitely better too: L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise retailed at $8.99 at Target vs. Too Faced Better Than Sex retailing at $23.
Have you tried Lash Paradise by L’Oreal? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
